Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the providers at Mind & Body Wellness PLLC?
Mind & Body Wellness has a multidisciplinary team of licensed telehealth providers including board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Registered Dietitians — all holding active licenses in NC and FL.
Is Leistey Tindall a licensed provider?
Yes. Leistey Tindall holds dual board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She founded Mind & Body Wellness PLLC in 2020 and serves as the lead provider, specializing in mental health therapy, Suboxone treatment and primary care across NC and FL.
Can a Nurse Practitioner prescribe mental health medications?
Yes. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) are independently licensed to diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medications including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers and ADHD medications in North Carolina and Florida. Our PMHNPs hold ANCC board certification — the highest credential available.
Will I see the same provider at every appointment?
Yes. Mind & Body Wellness assigns you a dedicated provider from your first visit. You will not be rotated between different clinicians. Consistent care with the same provider builds trust, improves treatment outcomes and is especially important for mental health and addiction treatment.
Do your providers specialize in mental health or primary care?
Both. Our team includes providers with specialized training in psychiatric-mental health care (PMHNPs), family and primary care (FNPs and AGPCNPs), therapy and counseling (LCSWs, LCMHC) and nutrition (Registered Dietitians). Many patients receive coordinated mental health and primary care from the same practice.
Are your providers licensed across North Carolina and Florida?
Yes. Mind & Body Wellness providers hold active telehealth licenses in North Carolina and Florida. All three states are served statewide via secure HIPAA-compliant video visits. Call (910) 387-3840 to confirm your provider's license before your first appointment.
Can your providers prescribe Suboxone via telehealth?
Yes. Our lead provider Leistey Tindall, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC holds DEA credentials for buprenorphine prescribing. Under federal 2023 regulations, Suboxone can be prescribed via telehealth without a prior in-person visit. Confidential MAT appointments are available in NC and FL.
